However, Khan Academy is a free online program where you can learn math in an easy, fun way. He shifts your relationship status with math from "It's Complicated" to, well, "It's Not That Complicated". I find both math and science very difficult to understand, but with Khan Academy, I feel that I can learn anything.
He, Salman Khan, has everything from history to science to math and even to events that are going on today. You just watch one of his videos on how to do a certain concept, then you can practice, then you get badges and rewards! It's not childish in any way, shape, or form, but it does make it rather fun. Also, you can comment on his videos and ask questions from other members of Khan Academy. How cool is that?! You keep track of your progress--including what areas you need to work on more, you see how long it took you to master a certain concept, *and* you get to go at your own pace! Salman is one of those rare people who is brilliant at math but can still explain it to those who don't understand it.
All you need is a Google or Facebook account, and an open mind. So what are you waiting for? Go try it!
